Ashley Perez, the former wife of golfer Pat Perez, is reportedly considering releasing additional information regarding her allegations against Phil Mickelson if the six-time major champion does not publicly address the claims.
According to sources familiar with the situation, Ashley believes more details surrounding the alleged incidents should become public if Mickelson continues to deny wrongdoing.
The allegations stem from an alleged incident during a PGA Tour event in 2015, when Ashley claims Mickelson showed her an explicit photograph and made inappropriate comments while her then-husband, Pat Perez, was temporarily away.
Ashley recently explained that her decision to come forward was motivated by a desire to encourage other women to speak openly about their experiences.
“I want to give other women the courage to share their truth,” she said.
Sources close to the matter now suggest that Ashley may be willing to provide additional information or evidence if she believes the allegations are not being taken seriously.
The renewed scrutiny has also brought attention back to comments Pat Perez made in 2022, when he said that Mickelson had “crossed the line” and described the incident as “uncrossable and unforgivable.”
Phil Mickelson’s attorney, Tom Clare, has strongly disputed many of the allegations.
“Some of the claims are outright false,” Clare said, adding that other allegations revisit matters that Mickelson has already addressed publicly or privately.
The legal team has also argued that combining disputed claims with acknowledged mistakes creates what they describe as a misleading narrative.
Mickelson has largely remained out of the public spotlight this year while dealing with what his representatives describe as a private family health matter. He recently withdrew from The Open Championship and has been absent from competitive golf for much of the season.
