MATT KENDRICK ISSUES STRONG MESSAGE TO GOOD GOOD AFTER EXIT

Matt Kendrick has reportedly sent a strong message following his dramatic exit from Good Good Golf as the company continues to deal with the fallout from its controversial Callaway advertisement.

Kendrick’s departure came during a major leadership shake-up that also saw Good Good president Joe Flannery leave the company. Board member and early investor Nahid Giga has since taken over as interim CEO.

The departures followed widespread criticism of a now-deleted advertisement showing Good Good co-founder Garrett Clark pushing fellow creator Alexis Miestowski to the ground during a campaign involving Callaway.

The fallout was severe, with Callaway ending its relationship with Good Good, retailers removing the company’s products and Good Good withdrawing from its planned PGA Tour title sponsorship.

MATT KENDRICK’S STRONG MESSAGE

Before leaving the company, Kendrick had already made clear that he believed Good Good needed to confront the controversy rather than run from it.

In an internal message to employees titled “Owning Our Mistake,” Kendrick acknowledged the seriousness of the situation and outlined efforts to respond to the fallout, including plans to donate proceeds connected to the driver campaign to an organisation supporting women in Good Good’s local community.

“Good Good will always mean a lot to me. We built something from an idea into one of the biggest communities in golf, and I will always be proud of the people who worked tirelessly to make that happen.

“The last few weeks have been incredibly difficult, and there are lessons that everyone involved will have to take from what happened.

“But I don’t want this moment to define every person who has poured their time, energy and passion into Good Good. The creators, employees and fans are bigger than one mistake and bigger than one difficult chapter.

“My message to Good Good is simple: learn from this, take responsibility, rebuild and keep moving forward. The future of the company is now in the hands of the people who remain, and I hope they protect what made Good Good special in the first place.

“I will always want to see the people and the community behind Good Good succeed. This chapter may be over for me, but I believe there is still another chapter ahead for the company.”

GOOD GOOD FACES UNCERTAIN FUTURE

Kendrick’s exit marks a remarkable moment for a company that grew from a YouTube golf collective into a major business with more than two million subscribers and significant investment backing.

Good Good has insisted that it intends to continue operating and has pointed to continued online retail growth and investor support despite the recent crisis.

For Kendrick, however, leaving the company he helped build represents the end of a significant chapter.

And if he does eventually deliver a public message directly to Good Good following his exit, all eyes will be on whether he offers further details about the controversial advertisement and the internal events that ultimately led to his departure.
