Charlie Woods added another hole-in-one to his golf resumé on Sunday. Fortunately, the cameras caught it once again.
The 16-year-old son of 15-time major champ Tiger Woods made his first ace playing alongside his dad at last year’s PNC Championship. This time, Woods was competing in the Junior Players, one of the most prestigious events on the junior golf calendar.
The American Junior Golf Association posted the shot, which came on the par-3 third hole at TPC Sawgrass’ Stadium Course, as well as Woods retrieving his golf ball from the cup:
As you can see, Woods was about as nonchalant about making an ace as you can be. But he flashed a big smile when posing for a photo next to the hole.
It’s been an impressive season for Woods, who won the AJGA’s Team TaylorMade Invitational in May, qualified for the U.S. Junior Amateur in July and finished T-9 at the Junior PGA earlier this month.
Woods’ ace came during the third round of the Junior Players after shooting rounds of 76 and 75 to start the tournament at the famed PGA Tour venue and the site of Tiger’s first of three U.S. Amateur titles in 1994.
