Frustrated Zak Brown takes to social media and continues to defend Norris

Zak Brown took to social media to express his frustration with the FIA’s decisions during the United States Grand Prix, defending Lando Norris after he received a five-second penalty.

Brown criticized the inconsistency of the stewarding, arguing that Norris should not have had to yield his position to Max Verstappen, who he believes forced Norris off track.

This incident has sparked discussions among key figures in the racing community, including Mercedes team principal Toto Wolff, who questioned potential bias in the stewards’ decisions, especially after George Russell was penalized for a similar incident.

Former F1 champion Damon Hill also weighed in, noting the lack of consistency in the stewarding while acknowledging that Norris went off track to make a pass.

In response to Hill’s comments, Brown reiterated his stance, stating, “Damon, I’m convinced it’s not!”

This defense underscores the impact of the penalty on Norris’s race and his position in the championship standings.
