Denver Nuggets star Nikolai Jokic had a monster triple-double on Saturday night, but it wasn’t enough to beat the Sacramento Kings.

After the Denver’s tough loss in Sacramento, Kings star De’Aaron Fox praised the superstar big man when asked  what held the Nuggets back.

Yeah, I mean Jokic is the MVP for that, Fox said via NBC Sports California. He won a championship and Playoffs MVP for a reason.

You’ll never  stop him with just one guy – you might not even be able to stop him with the whole team. Most people want to try to make him a scorer, but he still finds ways to get guys involved.

He moves on to open guys. You just want to make sure the other guys don’t really get hit with it, because if they do, they’ll pretty much pick your poison  with this team.

So you just want to try to limit most of his plays because the head is so big – he’s scoring at all three levels and you’re not blocking his shot, so it’s not much you can do that when he goes into attack mode and tries to score.

Denver Nuggets star Nikola Jokic leads the NBA in three majors   Fox’s praise is quite right. Jokic has proven over the years  that he is one of the best – if not the best – players in the NBA.

He finished Saturday’s game in Sacramento with a monster triple-double. He had 36 points, 14 rebounds and 14 assists against the Kings.

Such games are not for nothing. In fact, as of 12/4/2023, Jokic leads the NBA in  points, rebounds and assists. Averaging 29.0 points, 12.8 rebounds and 9.8 assists per game,  Joker projects to have another MVP-level campaign.
