Former Formula 1 race winner David Coulthard  said  seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton is not at his best; after a difficult season.

Hamilton has not won a race since the 2021 Saudi GP and although he confirmed third place in the drivers and positions and secured six podiums this year, he suffered from two-season inconsistencies.
His malaise was compounded by a seventh-place finish in Las Vegas before a ninth-place finish at the season-ending Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
  Although George Russell  took the podium in the final, Mercedes finished second in the Constructors’ behind the dominant Red Bull in the championship, very rarely did both drivers look like they could challenge for  the season win.

Coulthard has now said that Hamilton may have seen his best days and suggested that he has lost his magical gift on his screens.

That’s not Lewis at his best, the Scot told Channel 4 after the Abu Dhabi GP.  That Lewis is  very frustrating and bad results for two years.

When he gets a winning car again, it will be really interesting to see if he can rediscover the old Lewis magic.”   However, Coulthard and former teammate Mark Webber blamed Hamilton and his poor form for the team’s failures.

The car is a mystery, huh? said the former Red Bull competitor.  Like Brazil, not anywhere. Mexico, Austin – probably Lewis finished because the car was technically a little low there – but in the end that race burned up there in Hamilton.

This thing is literally on or off, blows hot or cold,  drivers up and down.  They are very small tweaks and  when you are tweaked, you can really develop, you can  start to feed off each other.

But if you have a gap, it’s technically difficult to get all the corners together over the weekend.  So they  want to throw it away.andquot;
