Mercedes is offering fans the chance to have their name featured on the W15 car driven by Lewis Hamilton in his final race with the team.
Since their partnership began in 2013, Hamilton and Mercedes have achieved remarkable success, with Hamilton securing six of his seven World Championships during the team’s unprecedented streak of eight consecutive Constructors’ titles from 2014 to 2021. However, this iconic collaboration is coming to an end.
As Hamilton prepares to leave Mercedes for Ferrari ahead of the 2024 season, fans can enter a draw for the opportunity to have their name appear on the W15 for his last race in Mercedes colors at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. 150 winners will have their names displayed on Hamilton’s car.
To participate, fans need to visit the Mercedes website and submit their name, email, and country of residence.
The entry is free, and the draw is open from 09:00 GMT on November 14 until 23:59 GMT on November 26. Entrants must be 18 or older.
While Hamilton won’t be driving for Ferrari until 2025, plans for him to take part in a post-season test in Abu Dhabi have been ruled out, as Mercedes and Hamilton have scheduled farewell activities after the final race of the season.
However, he is expected to test a Ferrari in preparation for the 2025 season, with some Testing of a Previous Car (TPC) days planned before the season opener.
Ferrari team principal Fred Vasseur has expressed confidence that Hamilton will adapt quickly to his new car, stating that his experience will allow him to be competitive from the start.
