Nikola Jokic knows the Denver Nuggets are in trouble.
The Denver Nuggets have lost three  of their last four games and aren’t quite the dominant team they were at the beginning of the season.

Jamal Murray’s absence clearly hasn’t helped, but Nikola Jokic believes it’s about something else: team defense.

Jokic spoke to the media this week and was brutally honest  about the Nuggets’ team defense.
“If we play a little bit better, we might get some free throws,” Jokic said.

“I think it’s a little  stagnant at the moment.
Maybe we’ll see a little more movement on defense.

After starting the season 8-1, the Denver Nuggets have  lost three of their last four games.
Those three losses were against the New Orleans Pelicans, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Orlando Magic.Denver’s only win was against the Detroit Pistons, but this was one  they barely won.

In all four of these games, the Denver Nuggets’ opponents  averaged about 116 points per game.
This ranks him about 23rd in the NBA in fielding percentage.

Let’s be honest, he could easily have gone 0-7 over the past seven games for the Denver Nuggets.
Their two wins against  the LA Clippers and Detroit Pistons could have gone the other way had their opponents made crucial shots late.
Fortunately, the team is still 10-5 after a very strong start, but now it’s time to improve.
