McIlroy emphasized how Scheffler maintains a calm demeanor on the course, regardless of his position on the leaderboard, and consistently produces solid, bogey-free rounds.
McIlroy described Scheffler’s 2024 season as one of the best individual seasons in recent professional golf history, noting that Scheffler’s ability to avoid bogeys forces other players to perform exceptionally well to keep up.
As for McIlroy’s upcoming schedule, while Scheffler’s season is mostly wrapped up, McIlroy still has several events to compete in.
He is set to play in the Amgen Irish Open, followed by the BMW PGA Championship, the Alfred Dunhill Championship, and two DP World Tour playoff events in Dubai. McIlroy currently leads the Race to Dubai standings, which he has won five times in his career.
