On August 17, 2024, in Houston, Texas, Houston Texans wide receiver Stefon Diggs was seen preparing for the upcoming game against the New York Giants at NRG Stadium. Despite facing skepticism from critics, Diggs is determined and optimistic about his chances to secure his first Super Bowl ring.
Having joined the Houston Texans in April after a four-year stint with the Buffalo Bills, Diggs is eager for his debut with his new team. Despite the anticipation, some remain unconvinced about Diggs’ ability to achieve postseason success with his new team. However, Diggs remains unfazed by the criticism, as he told GQ Sports’ Clay Skipper that he thrives on it.
“I love the noise,” Diggs stated. “Push me to the limit, and I’ll show you my best. I enjoy being doubted and proving people wrong. I also do it for myself. I stand by what I say I am, and every time I prove myself right, everyone else fades away. I like when they get quiet.”
Diggs, who is coming off four consecutive Pro Bowl selections with the Bills, recorded 107 receptions for 1,183 yards and eight touchdowns last season. The Bills were eliminated by the Kansas City Chiefs in the divisional round of the playoffs, marking the fourth consecutive year Diggs fell short of reaching the Super Bowl with the team.
The Texans are set to kick off their 2024 season against the Indianapolis Colts on Sunday, September 8 at 1 p.m. ET.
