Ashley Perez, the former wife of golfer Pat Perez, has reportedly provided additional details supporting her allegations against Phil Mickelson, adding a new chapter to the growing controversy surrounding the six-time major champion.
Perez recently spoke publicly about an alleged incident that she claims occurred during a PGA Tour event in 2015 while she and her then-husband were staying with Mickelson in New York.
According to Ashley, the alleged incident occurred after Pat Perez briefly left the room. She claims that Mickelson showed her an explicit photograph and made inappropriate remarks.
The latest information provided by Ashley has renewed attention on the allegations, with supporters arguing that her detailed account strengthens her claims.
“I want to give other women the courage to share their truth,” Ashley said when explaining her decision to come forward.
The allegations have also brought renewed focus to comments made by Pat Perez in 2022, when he publicly discussed his broken relationship with Mickelson.
“Phil crossed the line with me that is just uncrossable and unforgivable,” Perez said at the time. “He knows he screwed up. He apologised for the action, but I cannot forgive him.”
Ashley’s latest statements have been viewed by some as additional evidence supporting her account, although no physical evidence has been publicly released.
Phil Mickelson’s attorney, Tom Clare, has strongly disputed many of the allegations.
“Some of the claims are outright false,” Clare said. “Others revisit mistakes that have already been acknowledged publicly or privately.”
The attorney also argued that combining disputed allegations with previously acknowledged issues creates a misleading narrative.
Mickelson has remained largely out of the public spotlight this year, citing a private family health matter as the reason for his absence from competitive golf.
The LIV Golf star recently withdrew from The Open Championship and has faced increased scrutiny following additional reports involving alleged inappropriate conduct at private golf clubs.
At this time, the allegations remain disputed, and no criminal charges have been filed against Mickelson.
While Ashley Perez’s latest statements have intensified the discussion surrounding the golfer, the claims continue to be denied by Mickelson’s representatives.
As the controversy unfolds, both sides remain firm in their positions, leaving the golf world closely watching for any further developments.
