Abu Dhabi Championship final round tee times: Jon Rahm closes in on victory

Jon Rahm is within touching distance of a long-awaited DP World Tour victory after producing another impressive performance at the Abu Dhabi Championship.

The Spaniard heads into Sunday’s final round with a one-shot lead at Yas Links, but the pressure is building behind him, with several major names still in contention for the title.

Rahm fired a third-round 66 to reach 18-under par, moving ahead of Tyrrell Hatton and Francesco Laporta, who are tied for second at 17-under.

Rory McIlroy is also firmly in the hunt after reaching 16-under par, just two shots behind Rahm. Adam Scott and Matthew Jordan are three strokes off the lead, while David Puig sits at 14-under alongside Jordan.

The tournament presents Rahm with an opportunity to end a four-year wait for another DP World Tour victory. His last win on the European circuit came at the 2022 DP World Tour Championship, and he will be determined to finish the job on Sunday.

However, the Spaniard faces a difficult challenge in the final group. He will tee off alongside Hatton and Laporta at 11:25 am local time, with McIlroy, Scott and Puig among those starting shortly before them.
