SCOTTIE SCHEFFLER BREAKS SILENCE FOLLOWING FEDEX ST. JUDE CHAMPIONSHIP VICTORY

Scottie Scheffler has spoken following his emphatic victory at the 2026 FedEx St. Jude Championship, reflecting on a performance that saw him dominate the field at TPC Southwind and claim his second PGA TOUR title of the season.

The world No. 1 finished at 17-under par after rounds of 68, 61, 68 and 66, eventually winning by eight shots. The victory ended a lengthy wait for Scheffler, who had not won since January’s American Express despite producing several strong finishes throughout the season.

After securing the title, Scheffler acknowledged how important it was to finally put everything together. “It’s always nice to win, especially after a little bit of a drought,” Scheffler said, emphasizing the satisfaction of seeing his hard work finally translate into another victory.

The American had been particularly impressive with his putting throughout the week, an area that had caused him problems earlier in the season. His improved performance on the greens helped him build an advantage that the rest of the field ultimately could not overcome.

Scheffler also had to respond to an early setback during the final round when his approach at the par-5 third found the water after striking a sprinkler. Rather than allowing the mistake to derail him, he quickly recovered and continued to pull away from the chasing pack.

His victory was even more impressive given the pressure surrounding the opening event of the FedExCup Playoffs. Scheffler entered the tournament as the FedExCup points leader, and the result strengthened his position heading into the next playoff event.

The triumph also delivered a huge financial reward, with Scheffler collecting $3.6 million from the tournament’s $20 million purse. More importantly, though, the victory gives him confidence as he continues his pursuit of another FedExCup title.

With the BMW Championship now ahead, Scheffler will look to carry the momentum from Memphis into the next stage of the playoffs. After finally returning to the winner’s circle, the world No. 1 has once again sent a strong warning to the rest of the field.
