Phil Mickelson Issued LIV Golf Suspension as New Allegations Emerge

Phil Mickelson has reportedly been suspended by LIV Golf following the emergence of fresh allegations concerning the six-time major champion.

The veteran golfer, who has largely been absent from competition throughout the season due to what he previously described as a private family health matter, is once again facing scrutiny after new allegations of inappropriate conduct surfaced in recent reports.

According to the allegations, which date back several years, Mickelson allegedly engaged in inappropriate behavior involving the former wife of fellow golfer Pat Perez during a PGA Tour event in 2015. The claims were recently made public and have generated significant discussion throughout the golf world.

In response to the growing controversy, reports suggest LIV Golf has temporarily suspended Mickelson while the situation is reviewed internally.

The league has not publicly commented on the specific allegations, but sources indicate officials are monitoring developments closely as questions continue to surround one of the league’s biggest stars.

Mickelson has strongly disputed several of the allegations through his attorney, who issued a statement defending the golfer and challenging the accuracy of many of the claims.

“Some of the allegations are simply untrue, while others revisit mistakes that have already been acknowledged publicly or privately,” the statement said. “Stacking disputed claims alongside unrelated matters creates a false and misleading narrative.”

The attorney also emphasized that Mickelson’s primary focus remains his family and a private health matter that has kept him away from professional golf for much of the year.

The controversy comes shortly after Mickelson withdrew from The Open Championship at Royal Birkdale, ending hopes that the 2013 champion would make his return to major championship golf.

Additional reports have also linked Mickelson to alleged incidents at private golf clubs in California. Those claims have likewise been disputed by his representatives, who described one reported incident as a misunderstanding.

While no criminal charges have been filed and the allegations remain contested, the reports have placed renewed attention on Mickelson’s future both on and off the golf course.

Several LIV players have yet to publicly comment on the situation, while fans continue to await an official response from the league.

Mickelson remains one of the most accomplished players in modern golf, with six major championships and more than four decades in professional golf.

However, the latest allegations and the reported suspension have created fresh uncertainty surrounding his future in the sport.

For now, Mickelson appears focused on his family and personal matters as both the allegations and his playing future remain unresolved.
