The 15-time major champion appeared in a Martin County courtroom on Wednesday, where he accepted a plea deal that resulted in the original DUI allegations being reduced. Woods received a five-year suspension of his driving licence and financial penalties as part of the agreement.

He added that he would be stepping away to seek treatment and focus on his health and lasting recovery.
