Sergio Garcia has broken his silence regarding a possible return to the PGA Tour, admitting that he remains open to competing again on the circuit where he enjoyed many of the biggest moments of his career.
The former Masters champion has recently been linked with a potential PGA Tour comeback following reports of his departure from LIV Golf, sparking widespread discussion throughout the golf world.
Speaking about the speculation, Garcia made it clear that he still has a strong passion for the game and remains focused on competing at the highest level.
“I still love golf, I still love competing, and I still believe I have a lot to offer,” Garcia said. “My focus right now is simply to evaluate my options and make the best decision for my future.”
Garcia spent more than two decades on the PGA Tour, winning multiple titles and establishing himself as one of Europe’s most successful players. His victory at the 2017 Masters remains the crowning achievement of his career.
The Spaniard later joined LIV Golf in 2022, becoming one of the league’s original stars and serving as captain of Fireballs GC.
However, recent reports suggesting that Garcia could seek PGA Tour admission have raised questions about his next move.
While stopping short of confirming an official application, Garcia acknowledged that a return to the PGA Tour would always hold special meaning.
“The PGA Tour has been an important part of my career. I have many great memories there, and obviously it has played a huge role in my journey as a professional golfer.”
The 46-year-old also stressed that no final decisions have been made.
“There are conversations that need to happen, and there are many factors to consider. At this point, I simply want to keep competing and enjoying the game.”
Garcia’s comments come at a time when professional golf continues to undergo significant changes, with ongoing discussions surrounding LIV Golf, the PGA Tour and the future structure of the sport.
Several players who joined LIV have previously expressed interest in returning to traditional tours, particularly as negotiations between golf’s various governing bodies continue.
The veteran Spaniard remains one of the most accomplished players of his generation, with a major championship, multiple Ryder Cup appearances and numerous victories around the world.
Many fans have welcomed the possibility of Garcia returning to PGA Tour events, where he spent much of his professional career.
For now, Garcia appears focused on keeping his options open while preparing for the next chapter of his career.
“Golf has given me so much, and I remain excited about what the future holds,” Garcia said. “Whatever happens next, I want to continue competing and challenging myself.”
As speculation continues to grow, Garcia’s latest comments suggest that the door to a PGA Tour return may not be completely closed.
